Oven Repair Reviews

What Grapevine home cooks texted once their ovens were baking evenly again.

Everett N.Dove Station, Grapevine

Two days before Thanksgiving the oven locked itself during self-clean. Panic mode.

Your tech got the door open, swapped the lock motor and the turkey went in right on schedule. Huge thanks.

Every batch of cookies was black underneath and pale on top.

He found the convection fan had quit, replaced it and verified the temp with his own thermometer. Baking perfectly now.

The gas oven took forever to light and smelled off while it tried.

Before You Call

Run through these in order. Answer yes and keep going down the chart; answer no and you get something easy to check first.

  1. Is the clock showing the correct time?

Set the clock after any outage, because a few models stay cold until the time has been entered.

  2. Does the oven respond when you touch the keys?

Look for a lock icon and hold the Control Lock pad until it disappears.

  3. Is the bake element free of blisters or breaks?

With the oven cold, look over the lower element. A visible split means the part has to be replaced.

  4. Does an oven thermometer match the set temperature?

Place a thermometer in the center, heat to 350°F for twenty minutes and note the difference.

Still baking wrong after all four?

Certified and insured technicians will measure it and handle the repair.
